Sunday 14th July 2024:
HMS Pinafore from scratch followed by the Society's AGM
In response to requests for “audience participation”, on 14th July we shall be holding a scratch performance of HMS Pinafore with pre-selected principals and the chorus parts to be sung by the assembled membership, so do come along and join us and become Victorian sailors or sisters, cousins and aunts of Sir Joseph Porter.
Our accompanist for the afternoon will be Julie Mackrill, who played for us at our Topsy Turvy Two charity concert last October. We will provide as many scores as possible but please do bring your own if you have one.
This will then be followed by our AGM. This meeting will be back at the Adastra Hall, Hassocks.

The Zoo and G&S Favourites
Simon Gray and Friends will present a concert version of The Zoo, a musical folly by Bolton Rowe and Arthur Sullivan on 29th September. This is a really jolly one act piece that should be performed more than it is. It is Simon’s plan for it to feature his brother, Fenton, and Matthew Clark. You may recall that Matthew’s father, Barry, sang for us a couple of months ago.

Sunday 17th November 2024:
Christmas with The Godalming Consort
The Godalming Consort, featuring Katie Plummer, Zoe Avern, Tim Dutton, Alec Evans and Andrew Harrap, will give us a festive concert of G&S songs and seasonal carols (including some of Sullivan's) to get us in the Christmas mood – as always, mince pies will be the refreshment of the day!

An Afternoon with Opera Anywhere
Come along and meet the creative team from Opera Anywhere to hear how they go about staging a Gilbert & Sullivan production, often under very unusual circumstances. The afternoon will include video and audio clips and live singing of some G&S favourites
